Pixel 9 pro order cancelled

I pre ordered the pixel 9 pro 256gb rose quartz on the 1st of September. Recently my upfront cost was refunded and when I rang up I was told my entire order was cancelled due to stock issues? I'm confused as I was prepared to wait for the phone to come in after placing a pre order, it was repeatedly stressed that orders will be fulfilled on first come first served so this feels very atypical. They put me on a list to inform me when the device will be in stock which I am apparently at the top of. Should I just reorder now?

No, do not reorder, as you are put on a list when stocks are available, you can always ring customer service to see what is going on, if you so wish, we have no access to accounts here.
