Order number incorrect? Paid £30 upfront, no tracking available

Ordered a new phone as a new customer I got the order confirmation but it's been 3 working days now and I've not heard anything. When I go to track it says the tracking xko number is incorrect.

@RetroRadroach  You have an order number and you can not track with an order number, you got that the moment you placed the order and at that point nothing was allocated to you so you can not track nothing.  You should get a tracking number once an item is allocated to you and I’m surprised you don’t have this already.    You need to call customer support on  0800 956 6000 from any network phone 

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

I'm using EEs own tracking thing and it asks for the order number, not a tracking number. Each time I put the order number in, copied directly from the confirmation email it just says it isn't quite right.

It sounds like there's a problem with the order number you have been sent @RetroRadroach 

If the device you ordered was on back order, it could be because the stock is not there to track it yet. If it was in stock I'd recommend giving that number that @Chris_B provided as our team will be able to help with this.

What model of phone, including the colour and storage version, did you go for here? 

Also can you please double check to make sure you've not received any further emails since you first placed your order?
