Please I want to understand why EE updated me about my order and it remained on Awaiting Confirmation for over a week now, while the information on the website is saying should be updated with few hours. Is it possible EE gave my order to another customer and kept me waiting?

The delivery guidance on 8th October was to 'expect dispatch within 28 days'. It sounds like your order is on your account, so when it's ready to be delivered, DPD will be in touch with you.

Welcome to the community.
What is is that you ordered and when did you order it? It's possible that this could be down to stock levels or an issue with your order. Your order wouldn't be sent to another customer though.

I placed an order on the 8th of October and I got an update on the 15th with an order number, I checked the status and it said “Awaiting Confirmation “ and when I checked the FAQs it did mention that an update will be sent within few hours, unfortunately few hours has turned to over a week now and nothing has come up. I also called to ask the EE agents last week as I am moving house in coming days and the agent said to me that my order status should change within two days. Sadly, I called again today and I was told to chill out till the next 14 days and would get a notification”

OK, thanks @Ohms. The fact that they can see your order is good, it means it's against your account and being processed.
Which phone did you order? Please include the colour and memory size and I'll check our stock levels.
