Hello everyone in the ee community it’s that time again of the year placing and tracking the new iPhone 16 and 16 pro max’s orders and especially since a few years with delay issues with ee 😂 and then ringing them up and patiently waiting for that DPD notification I love this time of the year, so everyone I have created this thread and everyone stay posted in this thread don’t follow any other thread keep this one running guys if we keep each other updated then hopefully we get the iPhone this year on time on release day.

Apparently this year Apple has finally got their proverbial s#/% in. One sock, and have enough phones made to cover anticipated pre orders. But we shall see come release date.

Have they actually scrapped the Anytime Upgrade??
If they have, along with scrapping the 20% Student Discount that I've gotten for a few years I think will be enough to dissuade me from upgrading this year.
I pay circa £85 a month atm for my 15 Pro Max on a Full Works, and I'm pretty annoyed that I can't get my 20% off anymore.

That'll likely take my contract to roughly £100 a month upon upgrading to the 16 Pro which is just insane but to then add salt in the wound and also take away our ability to upgrade every year, I'd literally be paying significantly more a month for a lesser service.

No thanks. Would rather just buy the phone from Apple and switch to a Sim-Only plan for much, much less.

Have Yacht prices gone up? Because I'm so sick of seeing corporate greed everywhere I turn.
It's such a shame too because I imagine EE will lose ALOT of customers if they've really gotten rid of the Anytime Upgrades.

Looks like they have scrapped the anytime upgrade as confirmed here tariff change post by a moderator. I looked at the new pay monthly T&C and any mention of anytime upgrade is missing sadly.

If you have it this year then you can upgrade but next year will be a different story unless they launch something in its place.

O2 still have their version of it Switch Up (currently) and Vodafone have just launched something similar.

Didn’t know about the student discount going but if you know someone who works for BT/EE you can get friends and family or anyone working for the emergency services will be able to share an EE Perk code with you which is 20% off.

Can’t wait for the iPhone 16 Pro Max!

Question: My contract has finished and I can upgrade now but I want the iPhone 16. If I pre-order the Iphone 16 Pro Max on Friday, will that become my upgrade? Or when you Pre-order that’s a separate contract altogether? (If that makes sense).

Thanks

Would have thought would be the upgrade mate. I can upgrade tomorrow via my
daughters number but just got a new line out yesterday will I still get
accepted does anyone know
