Very misleading promotion and disappointed with EE to be running such thing.

Got told if we upgraded our 2 phones we could claim 2 free Chromebooks but at no point did we get told there was a limited amount. Waited the 14 days but then wouldn't let me claim saying the time wasn't up, next day try and claim only to be told promotion has closed due to all the Chromebooks being rewarded.

This feels like I have been mis-sold a phone as I probably wouldn't of upgraded to a Google as I normally have Samsung phones and claimed many free items with Samsung with no issues.

I feel like this promotion is to get you to buy a Google phone with the promise of a free Chromebook.

Extremely disappointed especially as I have 4 phones with EE and just moved my broadband over to them.

Why is EE involved with the fraudulent offer of an ASUS Chromebook when purchasing a supposedly eligible Google phone?

Hi @mattpenfold

You mean this offer which ended in October: https://ee.co.uk/help/mobile/gifts-with-purchases/asus-chromebook-flip-with-google-pixel

https://reward-promos.com/reward/eeoctobergift/en-GB

What is your issue.

I would be careful with the words you use as well.

Thanks

Bought phone exactly 14 days ago which qualifies for free laptop claim offer after the 14 day cooling off expiry.

I logged onto the claim page yesterday day 13 and it was available to complete, logged on this morning day 14 and guess what, offer expired as all laptops claimed.

Just wondering, am I just unlucky or has anyone else experienced this?

My EE broadband expires in 4 days & Im now inclined to go elsewhere after this experience

Has anyone successfully claimed the Chromebook?

You'd have to check the t&c's or ask Google as the offer was with them & nothing to do with your EE broadband anyway so don't know why you're blaming EE

Hi @LeBrie

Welcome to the community.

This was an offer that was run and to be claimed through Google rather than EE.

Looking at the offer terms, it does state that there was a limited amount of Chromebook units available.

With it not being an offer run by EE, we'd not be able to help to offer anything else.

Just about to claim the Chromebook after the 14 days, and apparently there was a limit on how many Chromebooks were available? This was never said when ordering the phone? Asked EE chat when ordering the phone and was told I had to wait 14 days. If I was never able to have the choice to claim, I feel as though this was miscommunicated or even potentially mid-sold to me. Only went ahead last month because of the offer. Can anyone help? Buds have been claimed today with no issues.

Thanks Michael, I didnt appreciate it was a google offer and not EE, disappointing timing but hey ho.

Hi @Aaaron

I understand your disappointment that you have missed out. This offer was not ran by EE, but looking at the offer terms, it does state that there was a limited amount of Chromebook units available.
