EE Make a Mess of TV Order

We fancied giving the TV service a go so my wife called today to place an order. She agreed a price with the rep, he quoted 49.99 for the entertainment package  as well as changing my mobile to a lower price of £10 a month.

We later received an email with the details and the total quoted for TV was £55.99. My wife called to query this and there was no note of the lower price on the system. After hanging on for ages the guy came back and said they would have to go through the call log to see what was said. At this point she got annoyed and told them to cancel the order. After even  more hanging around they came back and said that the order could not be cancelled on the system till the go live date of the 31st.

I find this ludicrious. This means that we will have the hassle of returning this equipment! To add insult to injury they are charging me more for my mobile contract which was changed along with the TV upgrade. This stinks of miss selling and is causing us hassle. Can anyone at EE cancel this order now?
