Why is it that after years of complaining and feedback every year from customers, EE does nothing to change their business model and just blame the whole back order ordeal on stock from Apple.
At this point it’s tiring and I just want to know how long my watch is going to take.
Its been over a month and my order screen still says “awaiting confirmation”.
Its just not good enough.
But sure enough I’ll get a reply from EE explaining that’s it’s a “28 day wait till dispatch” and whatever recycled script they have been given.

@Lewisbyrn EE can obviously not send out what Apple haven’t shipped to them and you think EEs at fault for that. And if you order today its expect dispatch in more than 28 days due to the fact Apple can not keep up with demand not only to supply EE but all sellers of the device including themselves not just in the UK but worldwide.
usually an order, waiting confirmation means you need to call customer services to confirm the order.

Thanks Captain Obvious for stating what I’ve already wrote…
Re-read what I have wrote, EE continuously do the same thing every year,
If they haven’t received stock why are they still taking orders?
Why wouldn’t they just say “Sold Out! Check back soon for availability!”…
At this point, it’s been a full month, I still don’t have a delivery date, every EE employee says the same script back to me and everyone else, and no doubt I’ll start getting billed the finance on a device I haven’t even received (or even have a perceived date to obtain).
Absolute shambles once again.

@Lewisbyrn , they will not bill you for the item that has not been sent out yet, they will only bill you once the order has been dispatched.
If it bothers you, then you could have waited a while before ordering, then you would not get frustrated that you have not received your order, especially as you know this happens every time a new product comes out.
It is down to Apple what is sent to networks around the world, no point blaming EE, as they never know what stock they will receive with shipments. Just remember, it also depends when you ordered, how long you have to wait for order to be dispatched.

Hi @Lewisbyrn,
Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂
I'm sorry to hear you haven't received your order yet. Orders are being dispatched on a first come, first serve basis as stock arrives.
You'll receive a text message with tracking details as soon as your delivery date is confirmed.
You won't be charged for your new plan until your watch is dispatched.

Hi @Lewisbyrn
To add to @Chris_B comments dockyard workers are on strike and were previously on strike last month. This has caused massive supply chain delays.
EE will only order watches they know they can sell, hence why they continue to take orders. If not they could waste millions in stock which nobody will buy, and have to pay for storage etc. Simple really that is why.
Apple own site says delivery for 10-17 November for this watch. That's a good guide.
Ultimately it's just a watch and you need to maybe calm down. @Chris_B is just another user like you.
Thanks

I know that Chris is just a user which is what makes it more frustrating, he and you (northerner) know more about the BTS problems than actual employees,
First time these strikes have been mentioned anywhere,
And to say calm down it’s just a watch is just wrong, when you pay for something you expect it in a suitable amount of time given the guidance,
When I ordered it was showing as 14 days to dispatch on both the website and the stock chart as I ran EE before ordering, now I’ve ordered, it’s been double the amount of time and understandably I’m frustrated.

i been waiting 43 days and they told to wait from today 26 another 15 if no canceled the order so they took the money play in the stock market make profit and them next customer please

@JCxx , they will only take the money once it is being dispatched. They do not money play in the stock market. They cannot deliver what they have not received, you can always try and get it elsewhere, no one is stopping you doing so, if you are that much of a hurry.
