Apple Watch Ultra Order

I pre-ordered the Apple Watch Ultra 49mm Orange AlpLoop Lrg on 09/09/2022. I received my confirmation shortly after, however have heard nothing since. It would be nice to at least received an email with an estimated delivery for this expensive piece of kit, or a text saying that the order is still active. Dissapointing from EE.

@egillespiesmith   EE get slammed for giving what your asking for and get slammed when they don’t.   You’ll know when it’s going to be delivered as you’ll receive a tracking number the day or so before delivery.      EE would love to give you an ETA.  But when EE don’t know how many of the type you ordered they’ll receive in from apple how they give you an ETA as your order could be pushed back.     Your order is confirmed sit back relax and enjoy the watch when you get it.     This is the main reason I don’t purchase close to a launch day you just don’t know when you’ll get it.

That's easy to say sit back and relax and wait for delivery. But they should know how many watches they need as they took near £200 from each person pre ordering.They shouldn't have offered pre ordering if they were not sure of what they were going to recieve. When you call them they just say do you want to cancel your order? I think that the way they have handled this is really been bad. If they didn't know when they will get more stock just tell the customers. Don't pretend that this isn't a problem. Post it on your website."There will be a delay for the Ultra Watch as demand has been greater than we expected we will let people know what is going on as we get more stock from Apple." At least people who ordered won't be thinking they have been scammed!

Same here, paid £220 up front for the watch on 15/09/2022 and have been looking for information ever since. Phoned 150 and as many will testify, it's just an IT merry go round, with no end result, other than frustration. I eventually got a human to answer and to be fair, she was very helpful at the time and promised to act as SPOC and even gave me an e mail address to contact. I have now sent 2 e mails and not even an acknowledgement.I still believe the woman I spoke to was sincere and I expect that internal EE directives are probably at the route of the problem. It is now becoming apparent that stocks are not what was expected. I have further learned through internet research that I may have impeded my particular order due to selecting the black trail band.According to numerous sources on the internet, this particular band has a worldwide shortage and delivery times are well back on what was expected.

Interested if you have received watch yet? Trying to understand just how long I will be waiting for same watch. False promises of it being in warehouse waiting for a driver last week - now its apparently out of stock again!

No still not received it. Spoke to the lady who agreed to act as SPOC and she admitted that they simply don't know when stock will arrive. I suppose they are at the mercy of Apple who ensure that their own outlets are served before anybody else.Had a similar issue last year when I ordered an Apple Watch 7 stainless steel from another company.They couldn't say when stock would be in, but allowed me to cancel my order(Stormfront-Exeter)and even advised me to go to Apple in Edinburgh where I live. Went there and got mine the same day.

 

I reiterate what I said above. I believe that I have impeded my delivery due to the watch band that I have ordered(black trail loop).Research on the internet from numerous sources says that there is a worldwide shortage of the black trail loop. I even asked EE to send me just the watch, as I intend to use a 3rd party band, but they gave me a lot of jobsworth and declined, which is understandable, since the band and watch come as a job lot and to do otherwise would be an administrative nightmare.
