I phoned EE about getting an apple Watch for my 9 year old. I have not purchased this yet so I would be happy to buy from either EE or apple. The EE staff was unable to help they told me the ‘kids watch plan’ is not for Apple Watches and there is no other way set up a watch without it getting paired to my text and calls. I’m not sure why Apple have EE down as one of their providers?

The kids watch plan is only specifically for the Xplora brand of kids watches, which I am unsure if they are available or not.

What you're looking for is usually known as a "Standalone Watch Plan", these are lesser known than the Paired variant but should be available.

Take a look at BetterRoaming - signed up to them for two kids watches and it works fine....cheaper too
