Roam abroad pass confusion

I’ve seen numerous posts but still can’t figure out what the hell is going on.

my bill cycle is 27th.

i fly to USA on 8th June.
I return to UK on 5th July.

I add the £25 pass just before my trip and that covers me from 8th June until my bill date of 27th.

Will I then be charged another £25 addon charge to cover me from the 27th June  till the 5th July when I return and cancel?  Meaning it cost me £50 for 27 days usage?

or does the first £25 pass cover me for a full 30 days across across 2 bill cycles aslong as I cancel it on 5th when I return (before the 8th which was the original activation date)

The 1st billing period you are charged pro-rata when you let it continue into the next billing period. So you'll be charged:

  1. 19 days from 8 Jun. to 26 June = £15.83.
  2. A full billing period from 27 June = £25.
  3. TOTAL = £40.83

Ah ok

so even though I’m using it less than the 30 days it still charges me twice? Seems unfair lol

Well, 1.6 x. That's the way it is.

So even if I cancle it on the 5th July and don’t use it during the 5th till 27th, that won’t be pro-rata  like the first part was? It’ll be charged at the full £25?

That's correct! Only the 1st billing month is pro-rated when the pass spills over to the next.
