Roam Abroad Pass - less than 1 month possible?

I'm going away to a destination covered by the Roam Abroad pass later this week.

My billing date is 2nd of the month and I return home on the 4th Nov.

I want to avoid paying £25 for the whole of next month if I'll only get 2 days use out of the pass.  As such, can I buy the pass the day I go away, use it for 2 1/2 weeks, and then remove it on the 1st Nov before my next bill date?

Would I only be charged pro-rata for the first month (around £15) and no more?  (I can use a different non-EE SIM for the remaining days of the trip).

Many thanks

@Heatingear : Yes, but you'll still pay at least £25 for it but if you cancel it on 1st Dec (I think you mean) you won't be paying for the next billing month anyway.. It'll cost £25 for the 2.5 weeks this billing month that you're going away.

The Roam Abroad Pass costs £25 per billing month from the billing month you order it (text ROAMING PASS to 150) until the billing month you cancel it (text STOP ROAMING PASS to 150). For all billing months during which you have the Pass it is charged at the full £25. However if the Pass is carried over from the 1st billing month to the next it will be charged pro-rata for that 1st month alone.

For the period between activation of the pass & bill cycle, you're charged pro-rata.

If you're within the EU, you'll then be better off paying the daily charge from bill date onwards - to achieve the same end result but on the £2.47/day rate.

That won't work in the 5 other eligible countries.

Thank you both (and yes I meant 1st Dec not Nov!).

I'll be in Australia - so whilst the pass is still a reasonable option - it's relatively expensive compared to a local SIM.  Shame they do it like that - and the EE website is not particularly clear IMO.

I think I'll divert all my calls to a Three PAYG SIM which allows free incoming calls in their Go Roam destinations, and then use a local SIM for data and outgoing calls.  International minutes to the UK are bundled on all the Telsta, Optus and Vodafone PAYG SIMs, along with unlimited local calls and 50GB data for the equivalent of ~£17.50 for a 30-day bundle.

Thank you again

Thanks! You're welcome 🙂 ! Glad I could be of assistance & trust it is now sorted.
