Me too. It's been over a month and yet no one at EE has confirmed on here whether this is legitimate. It's a great deal if it is and customers do not want to lose out. BUT a big risk if it's not genuine.

EE please confirm one way or the other whether it may be legitimate so we can decide how to proceed.

@shahbazosman    It’s a scam.     Take the example given on this thread.   For £35 a month that’s a bargain as that’s only £840 for 2 years.    That can not even purchase a iPhone 14 pro max 512Gb,  that’s a £1529 phone on its own with no tariff.   EE do not give anyway £1529 phones for free.    The cheapest EE sill that device for is £71 a month with £120 upfront with 5Gb of data on a no frills plan.

Hi @shahbazosman,

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

What was the email address/phone number that contacted you?

James

020 8079 1401 and I think 0141 501 0243 was also them.

Email was confirmation@promotions-ee.co.uk

FYI they claim it will be upgrade to existing plan and existing direct debit will continue at new ampunt. Will also claim that have 14 days collong off period. They will ask you to confirm your email address, your name,  address and bank details and DOB.

Spoke to EE. Phone aparently costs them over £950 and they sell for £1200. 2 year plan at £30pm works out to £720. So is quite obviously scam.

Allowed EE to listen in on the call. They confirmed definitely a scam. When I told the caller EE had been listening they quickly hung up and havent called since. Told the agent EE should confirm on this forum that its a scam too so is clearly available info for all customers
