NHS Discount refused.

Hi,

I'm hoping someone can clarify this for me.

I recently ordered a new iPhone Duo plan with EE, and the phones were delivered today. After placing the order, I realised there was an NHS discount available for eligible staff, so I contacted customer services to see if it could be added to my account.

Unfortunately, I was told that the NHS discount cannot be applied after the order has been placed. However, I've since seen information online suggesting that NHS discounts can be added within a certain period after joining, which has left me confused.

The contract has only just started, I've only received the phones today, and I haven't even activated the SIMs yet. Given the circumstances, I'm now considering cancelling the order and moving to Vodafone instead if the discount can't be applied.

Has anyone successfully had the NHS discount added after placing an order or after receiving their device? I'd appreciate any advice or clarification from EE staff or community members before I make a final decision.

Thanks in advance.

Hi there @J3dee

Thanks for coming to the community.

The information you have been giving is correct, the discount would need to be applied at checkout when placing the order. I'm sorry you would be unable to add this after the orders have been placed.

If you would like to discuss your options, please give us another call and the team will help you further.

Thanks.

Leanne.
