I have a 30 Day Essential Sim, at one time it was originally an Orange Value Promise one2one account. That became an EE Orange one2one tariff (!) before someone realized that was stupid and I was moved onto an EE SIM-only 4G tariff, that has now been moved to this 5G tariff.
But I was looking at my account in the EE app and noticed that under add-ons it lists TNT Sports on discovery+ as being "Free". At least that is what the button says. If I click on it the next page says it to says "Free," but clicking on "See full add-on details" it reveals a hidden last line says "Just £20 a month".
My understanding is I get no extras, which is fine as I am on a cheap tariff and still getting a discount on that based on my original contract (with annual rises) anyway. But this is an add-on rather than an extra. But a free add-on? Maybe?
So is it free or is it £20?
And if it is free, is it a trial or just actually free? Apple News+ has a "Free trial" button then says "Free for up to 6 months" on the next page, with the price after that clearly shown.
But if it is not free, and does cost £20, then why does it say Free?
It is all very confusing so I do not know what to do. I will happily take it if it is free, but it is not something important enough to me to be worth paying for. And I do not want to click further only to find I have been tricked into that.

Hey there I know on my app and EE website it says it’s £20. Now if you dont have any exclusive extras then it shouldn’t be free, I’m guessing maybe it’s a glitch or something but you could ring up CS and ask them to be sure. Or maybe it is a month free trial to start with like you said.

I have just noticed I can add photos, so here is what I see. Unfortunately I find using the phone difficult due to a couple of autism related reasons, which is why I asked here rather than calling, as maybe other people also got it for free for £20. But yes, it being a glitch would make sense so I guess it is best left ignored

I forgot the button.

Hi @Rbxee
Thanks for coming here.
Could you text SPORT to 150, what options show in the reply?
Leanne 🙂

Hi Leanne, the message that come backs contains "Reply YES to add TNT Sports on discovery+ for only £20p/month."
It stupidly only just now has occurred to me that because I have to use the My EE app on a non-EE phone, so could this be confusing the app into showing the wrong information? I am using the app over wifi rather than another network, though, and surely it gets the details from my EE account rather than the device or connection.
To explain why I do this, it is because My EE on the phone says "To continue using My EE you need to install the latest version" but the app store then says "This app is no longer compatible with your device" so I cannot update it. It is only 3–4 years old, but I guess that must be a lot in smart phone years.
Incidentally I understand what "£20p/month" means but it is a bit confusing and someone should change that to "£20/month" because a "p" like that normally means pence and not "per".

Thanks for the feedback @Rbxee
I would suggest giving us a call and the team will check your options for TNT Sports and help with the information showing in your My EE app.
Leanne.

Hi Katie, I'm not sure if it was inclusive when I had my contract, I'm currently abroad so was checking the roaming when I came across the tnt add on for free, I've added it in this condition.just not sure of its free or not.
Thanks
