New customer, discount not showing at checkout process

Hello,

I am currently with BT Mobile and trying to move across to EE and take advantage of the "Better As One" promotions.

The plan I am trying to buy has half price for 3 months and 30% off the monthly price (24 month contract). The discount for the first three months shows up during the checkout but after entering payment details and getting the draft contract to read through before entering the final part of the checkout there is no mention of the discounted monthly price, only the initial discount. There is a mention of a monthly discount of 30% in the document but the amount it shows to be discounted is not 30%, in fact far less than that.

I would appreciate it if anyone could confirm this is just a limitation of what the page shows and that the once everything goes through the discount will be applied? I am worried that if I finish the checkout process I will be stuck on a long contract at a price higher than expected.

Thanks for any help.

Hi @JonathanC4,

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

Please can you share a link to the plan you're looking at?

James

Hello @James_B,

The "My BT" home page takes me to https://ee.co.uk/bt and from there I am clicking on "Exclusive deals for BT broadband customers" https://www.bt.com/products/mobile/sim-only-deals/?_gl=1*13jm3j*_ga*MjAwOTY0OTczOC4xNjg0MjQ1OTY0*_ga... I then click the link to the EE shop at the top of that page which redirects to https://ee.co.uk/mobile/pay-monthly-phones-gallery/best-of-both

It is from that page that I click on "choose plan" (the 300GB/24month/essentials option is what I was trying to go for).

Thanks @JonathanC4

Yes, you'll get the first 3 months half price, followed by 30% off.

What a disjointed mess.

You see, I'm a BT Broadband customer too and I had the same frustration finding a valid link.

I did discover how to get it to apply... of course, only to find out after a VERY large waste of time, that this is "only for existing" customers???

£30 down, no phone or contract sorted and a whole DAY wasted trying to sort this.
