Hi All,
I have an EE SIM only package - happy with it as it was double-discounted last Black Friday, what with me being a BT customer at the time as well.
My wife's Vodafone SIM only deal is about to expire, so we thought this might be the ideal time to look into bringing her over to EE as well. I hit the online shop, make sure I'm logged in and go to "SIM's" - where I'm greeted with these offers.
I just wanted to make sure I am seeing what I think I am seeing.
If I were to take the deal on the left, I'd be signing up to a new SIM for 24 months - unlimited calls/texts and 25GB data for £11.90 month (increase March 2024 and increase March 2025). It would be under my account, however my wife would be able to port her number across via PAC for this second SIM.
So although this is a "second SIM/number" under my account, there is no reason this couldn't be my wife's SIM?
Sorry if this is an obvious question - just seems quite a good price at £12/month to bring my wife's number over.
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

Hi @SoufferTheCat,
Yes that's correct, EE are offering 30% off every new sim added to your account. This deal would cost you £11.90 + the yearly CPI increases for 24 months.
Your wife can port her number across and you pay a single bill for the both of you.
You should have the option when purchasing the sim-only plan to add her PAC code, which you can request from her current provider by texting PAC to 65075. If not, then you can do it retrospectively by calling 150 from your EE mobile and requesting the number transfer to the new sim-only plan.
Thanks,
Alex

Hi,
Can I ask you a couple more questions?
We've decided to go ahead and the process was all pretty painless - was asked for a PAC, entered, confirmed number we are moving etc.
As this is an "additional line" I'm assuming my wife doesn't have her own EE account as such? So if she wants the "My EE" app or wants to log into an online account to check bills etc, she would need to login with my credentials?
At no point during the purchase of the second line were we offered an "eSIM". I'm not that bothered, however though we might get that option as I would mean we could immediately setup rather than waiting for physical SIM.
Is it possible to get an eSIM or would we need to wait for the physical to arrive and then potentially look to swap?
Thanks again.
Paul

Hi @SoufferTheCat,
Your My EE account will be the main account holder, the billing account, however she can also register for My EE and link her phone number to it.
You won't be able to order an eSIM until the physical sim arrives, as it needs to confirm identity via a text message to the new line you purchased. They tend to arrive pretty quickly though, or you could go into your local EE store with photo ID and they can give you a physical SIM there and then.
Thanks,
Alex
