Hi, I have added the TNT Sports option to my account but cannot activate, I successfully receive and then input a pin but after that it repeatedly states ‘We are experiencing technical problems right now, please try again later’, however this has been happening for a number of days.

Thanks for any help

Got the same issue. It is very annoying. Why can’t they just post a set of simple to follow step by step guides?

Hi, I've faced the same issue that has been raised a number of times in these forums however I've still not been able to resolve my issue. Before I upgraded my phone, I had BT sport as a smart benefit. I also had large screen and this worked without any issue.

However, despite adding TNT Sports an inclusive extra, I have not been able to activate it. I texted SPORT to 150 and EE confirmed that I have TNT Sports as an inclusive extra and all I needed to do was access ee.co.uk/tntsports to activate it. I initially used my mobile device to do this - I entered my number and the PIN that was texted to me. Despite having TNT as my inclusive extra, I keep getting the message saying there is nothing to activate.

I called 150 on 15 September 2023 who advised me to try and activate Discovery + using the following link - https://www.bt.com/sport/activate-discovery-plus/. When I try to do so, I get a message saying "We can see someone has already logged into a BT account on this device. Please confirm the below account or choose to log in with a different account." I duly try to log in using that email address and then I'm told "TNT Sports Account not recognised." The advisor even removes TNT sports as an inclusive extra and re-adds it however same issue occurs.

The technical advisor doesn't know what's going on so she tells me to go in store. I go in store today and I'm told they can't do anything - I need to contact online support so I call online support again. I'm advised to try and access ee.co.uk/tntsports using my desktop which I do. I enter my number and the PIN and initially I'm told there is an error and I need to try again later. I try again later on the desktop and I get the same message saying there is nothing to activate. I try a different browser and same thing again.

I try to log into my BT account and I'm told "We couldn’t find any account details for that BT ID. Please try again".

I'm not sure what more I can do? I've followed each of the recommendations I've seen however none of them have resolved my issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

akolaar

I should also add that I attempted to activate it at http://www.bt.com/eesport and got the following error message after entering my EE number and postcode:

Sorry, we were unable to complete your request. It can take a few hours for TNT Sports to update on your account. If you have already signed up, please try to verify your account again shortly by visiting www.bt.com/eesport. If you have not yet signed up for TNT Sports with EE just text 'Sport' to 150.

Error Code: NCE-005

Hi @akolaar it’s a long shot but for me this worked: http://ee.co.uk/TNTSports on Microsoft Edge using a laptop (desktop would also be fine) with the cache cleared.

You say you tried this but have you done it using Edge and with the cache/cookies/history etc. cleared. Why it should matter I don’t know but it worked for me when I had identical issues to those you have described.

Good luck 👍🏻

Still no dice annoyingly but thanks for your help!

I’m having the same issue, but unfortunately I don’t have a desktop to be able to follow this process as all I use is my phone and a iPad - has there been any other ways to complete in either of these devices?

Just in case the marked solution doesn't work. I have one more thing to try.

I was told it the ee.co.uk/TNTsports link needs to be loaded on your mobile data, not when connected to WiFi. Equally, if on iPhone, try and follow it using Chrome rather than Safari. I was having exactly all the issues listed above but by using mobile data (4G/5G) and Chrome on iPhone I was able to activate. Hope that helps.

Unfortunately, that doesn't work for me either. I even tried in an incognito browser on my phone but the message is the same. It says I have nothing to activate.

Do you still have the BT Sport app installed? Sorry, that was one step I missed. I logged out and deleted the BT Sport app first. Then I went through the steps above.

thanks for your efforts @portcall however I still haven't been able to resolve it. I logged out and uninstalled the BT sports app. I tried to validate on my phone and then later on a desktop to no avail. I'm still told there's nothing to validate and when I try to activate TNT at bt.com/sport/discovery-plus, I'm told there is no TNT account recognised. Close to giving up...
