I'm not a EE client. However, the website clearly states that I should be able to buy them from a store.
I've gone to two different ones in my city and both said that the order NEEDS to be done online, even after I say I'm not a client. I'm confused? I really want to get these but I've run into wall after wall.

The easiest way to get these glasses is to buy a NIO car from china and get the AR entertainment package which includes the Nreal glasses

Unfortunately it isn't true. I have been to 4 stores, 3 in London, Tottenham court, Oxford Street circus and one at either Liverpool Street or Brompton or whatever. Then another store at Milton Keynes, all of these told me they can't even place an order for me from the store and that I should order it online. Or call customer service. I did call customer service but in the end I was told they don't have while the website says they are in stock.
I'm deaf and lip read so I need this for my job. But unfortunately I'm not being able to get it, isn't it frustrating?

Ordered my pair from Amazon Japan today. They'll be here in a few days. If EE isn't offering you a way, looks like that's your best option. The way they're making people jump through hoops to get these (seemingly in many cases impossible) is mind-numbingly ludicrous. You'll save a lot of money by importing too as I mentioned before.
EE might not like the fact that I'm sharing an alternative (and better) purchasing option. They need to get their act together and actually let people who want the glasses give them money. Buying an exclusive license and then restricting them to a very tiny minority of customers is seriously strange. But whatever, it's on EE to decide what to do with this. I'm going to contact the Nreal manufacturers in China to let them know what's going on. Although I'm already going to receive them from Japan (official Nreal seller), it's a pity to see that this fascinating tech is being kept in limbo in the UK and many people are missing out because they don't know the other ways to get them.
Surely you can do better, EE.

Frankly speaking I do not understand why they are the only one selling that.
I wish I can use your alternative but before I can't do that I need to speak with DWP, a whole lot of mess. I don't understand why it is hard to buy something.

Just went in to Westfield to buy a set outright.
Got totally mugged off as I'm not an ee customer and told to call customer service.
Forget that.. I just ordered from eBay at a cheeper price.
Way to go ee. Great job!

Just to add my experience - completely impossible to buy online despite the web page saying you can.
I went to my local EE store who took quite a lot of convincing that they needed to place the order via ‘sales plus’ after telling me over and over I had to order online.
They did eventually check the ‘sales plus’ system and found them there, but they weren’t able to place the order due to some bug.
I’m an EE business customer but wanted to buy these personally outright, seems impossible. I think this is by design to stealthily persuade people to purchase EE contracts. This must be in breach of sales competition laws.
Eventually I phoned EE business sales who sorted it out right away and my pair are now on their way - but I think if you’re not the ‘right type’ of EE customer, you’re out of luck. Poor show EE, just as I was starting to like you.

I agree EE are absolutely useless.
- I tried online but no luck, despite being a payg customer, it keeps asking me to login although i am logged in!
- I went in-store and they said i can only order it online.
- I phoned customer service sales and they said i need to either be a contract customer.
- Alternatively, convert my payg sim to a contract THEN WAIT 17 MONTHS TO BE ABLE TO BUY IT!!! I JUST WANT TO BUY IT OUTRIGHT!! Why is that so bl**dy hard!?!
Completely fed up about this. I'm ordering it from Japan.
EE's business practices are completely idiotic in this day and age. No way i will ever buy ANYTHING from yhem after this nonsense. Dodgy and untrustworthy company that explicitly misleads its potential customers from its website

@kevinkga You pay for the item with your contract bill you are not billed on PAYG that’s why you can not login to order these you don’t have a contract account, It’s even called the add to plan store. You don’t have to wait 17 months before you can order it being on contract you only have to wait 30 days once that contract has started. You have to be within the first 17 months of that contract to order from the add to plan store. Any EE store can order these in for you if you’re not a EE contract customers. At a store when you order these if the store says they can not do it just say. order them via their Sales Plus system.
