Can't activate Discovery +

I get told I am eligible, then when I try to activate I get error WB402. Long live chat with BT and they couldn't help. Any ideas?

I have the same issue, except my error is WB401.

I've tried everything suggested above but it doesn't work and I've been on the phone to EE and/or BT for nearly two hours.

No one has the first idea how to fix it or who to call to fix it.

Utter bs

I am having completely the same issue.

Tried support on discovery+ and all it keeps saying is to go reset password link. Go on it and its says error try again later. Over a week now and nothing. Rubbish

They don’t have a clue how to fix the problem, I have been in touch with BT, EE, Discovery. I have a Discovery account with sky so I phoned them to cancel to see if that was the problem but they can’t cancel it! No idea how this gets resolved now.

Hi @Cymru01,

You'll not be able to activate your subscription with EE if you already have an active discovery+ subscription through another provider.

James

I have two active subscriptions. One from ee. But none have TNT sports.

The activation process fails before you even get a chance to login to discovery+ so I don’t see how this issue is connected to an existing subscription.

Hi @gorch,

It looks like your EE subscription has been activated successfully.

Having two active subscriptions could be causing a conflict. I'd recommend cancelling one of the subscriptions, or setting up another discovery+ account with a different email address if you'd like to run both simultaneously.

James

James, sorry but you're not getting it.

The activation process fails before you even get to see an option to login or create a new discovery plus account, so even if I wanted to create a new one, I can't.

BTW the EE subscription is one that got activated ages ago when EE promoted free access for their customers and doesn't contain access to TNT sports. But again, I don't see how these subscriptions could be an issue because the process doesnt even get to a part where the system could know this.

Apologies @gorch, I'd incorrectly assumed the EE subscription was one that you'd recently activated.

I have had the same issue.

I ended up downloading Microsoft Edge onto my iPhone, copying the link from the text message and it finally worked after trying for 24 hours.

EE it’s so bad how you haven’t effectively managed this thread. Hope this works for anyone else, safari wouldn’t work whether connected to Wi-Fi or not but Edge worked first time even connected to Wi-Fi

On my discovery account it says I have an active EE pass.
