Call abroad from UK free add on

Hi, I recently added the £2 international call add on to my mobile contract but there was confusion as to whether it was being applied. The technician I spoke to thought the Call abroad free add on would work and added that rather than the £2 option. I'm a bit worried as I need to make a lot of calls to USA and can't afford for it not to work. The free add on doesn't appear on the EE website. Does anyone know whether it does still work ? Thanks

If you are contract the Call Abroad add-on is £2 pm. The free add-on is no longer.

However, if you still have the free add on from when it was available, it will still work.

Hi

You say the call abroad add-on is £2 per month. But how do you know. It does not say that on the website. It just says £2. I cannot find a way to talk to someone at EE to confirm. They seem to have closed down all human contact.

Your help would be much appreciated.

@mikel1951 : It's now called the "International Pass" & costs £2.16 pm.

That's great. I couldn't find that document. And all the 150 options were for roaming not calling abroad.

Thank you

If you are calling the USA, you can do so for free to most numbers using Double Dial by Local phone limited. You simply dial 03301173872 and dial the USA telephone number in the international format for example 001  212-123-456 followed by #

03 numbers come out of your minutes or free if you have international minutes. There is website for this service.

I find EE's international options quite poor.

Another way is buying the EE 084 and 087 add which is about £6 for 200 minutes and using instant dial services like local phone or Just-dial

This is the way I call abroad and makes sure I don't run up a big bill.

Yeah it's a rip off, buy the EE add on for 084 and 087 numbers which gives you 200 minutes to call them and use an international instant dial service like this https://www.uk-justdial.co.uk/

On the left there are a list of access codes and because you will have the EE add on these calls will be covered.

You can also call most USA numbers for free using Double Dial 03301173872 and dial the USA number in the international format its completely free because you've called an 03 number which comes out of your minutes.

There is no excuse for high rate international calls to most countries given that. Voip is used
