Renewed contract on 23rd October 2024 for 24 months and realised on the 31st October 2024 that EE gave a discount for Blue Light card holders.
Rang EE on 31st October 2024 and spent 50 minutes on the phone being passed from one person to another, neither of whom new anything about Blue Light discount.
Eventually I was told that nothing could be done and that I should have mentioned I was a holder at the time of renewal.
The assistant did agree that there was a training issue that should be addressed .
One would have expected a more sympathetic response from such a large organisation.

Hi there @iceman54767
Thanks for coming here and letting us know the discount was not applied.
Did you register for a perk account and use the perk code, or have you ordered through the Blue Light website?
Thanks.
Leanne.

I ordered over the phone as my contract was due for renewal.
Only found out about Blue Light discount 7 days later.
Tried to get a Vault code on Blue Light website but kept saying I needed to ring EE as there was a fault.
What is a perk account ?
Regards

Thanks @iceman54767
The Blue Light discount would need to be entered at checkout when placing the order.
If your company is registered for perk, you can sign up for a perk account, details can be found on the Perks, Discounts & Customer Benefits page. The perk code can be added within 30 days if the contract is eligible by calling us on 150.
Thanks.
Leanne.

I am also struggling with getting BLC discount added to my broadband renewal. When I was going through the process the customer service advisor did say that as a BLC holder you get 20 % off just need to add code and can be done within 30 days of set up. How can this issue be resolved?

Hi @RP01
Welcome to the community.
I've not seen the Blue Light Card discount being available for broadband accounts previously, just for mobile.
If you look at the discount details on the Blue Light Card website or app, does it show a broadband discount?
If it does, it is worth checking the terms, as sometimes they are only for new customers.

Hi @iceman54767
Thanks for coming to the community.
Typically the Blue Light Card discount is only valid on brand new mobile connections, not upgrades, and would need the code to be added at the basket when applying on our website.
If you employer is signed up to the EE Perk scheme, you can generate up to 5 discounts per year for yourself or friends and family members that can be used on new or upgrading eligible mobile contracts.
Michael
