Apple TV+ verification

Hi,

I have an android phone and have activated the Apple TV+ addon. In EE app showing I have it free until May. I received a text from EE with a link to register on apple tv site. Apple ID signed in okay. However, it will not verify my phone number at the stage - The phone number associated with this subscription must be verified. It has this message "This phone number could not be verified for this subscription."

Chat to EE helpdesk and tried all sorts.. turn WIFI off and use 4G, sent me another link, try number with/out +44, original sim number and port number. Nothing worked.

Read something online saying it is because I have not got an EE iPhone but EE helpdesk think it should verify on my android phone and then I can watch on my WIFI iPad.

Can anyone help?

i am having the same issue. i have been sent a link by EE for the Apple TV 6 months free then £6.99 per month offer, however if i click on the link it just takes me to the apple tv homepage where the only offer is free for 7 days then £8.99 per month. i don't have a code to enter anywhere and cannot find a page that has anything to do with this EE offer on the Apple TV site?

What type of phone are you using?

Have you tried following the link over mobile data, rather than WiFi?

Are you using a VPN?

Hi, it's an android, no vpn, tried on wifi and data but no joy. i even manually typed the link in on my laptop and it still jsut goes straight to the standard apple tv homepage

Hi,

If I remembered correctly, using WiFi, the link took me to the apple tv+ site and it took me through the verification process. I think it asked for my email address registered with ee and then the ee mobile number. You must use the phone that you have the ee contract and the added apple subscription offer. Also make sure the phone number in settings is correct as well. Once the verification process is done, you can then use laptop or smart TV to watch.

However if you do not even get the verification box, you probably have to talk to ee.
