Hi,
I have an android phone and have activated the Apple TV+ addon. In EE app showing I have it free until May. I received a text from EE with a link to register on apple tv site. Apple ID signed in okay. However, it will not verify my phone number at the stage - The phone number associated with this subscription must be verified. It has this message "This phone number could not be verified for this subscription."
Chat to EE helpdesk and tried all sorts.. turn WIFI off and use 4G, sent me another link, try number with/out +44, original sim number and port number. Nothing worked.
Read something online saying it is because I have not got an EE iPhone but EE helpdesk think it should verify on my android phone and then I can watch on my WIFI iPad.
Can anyone help?

Just to let you know I have managed to ask for a refresh on my network settings so the my phone's setting is showing my correct number.ber than the temporary number and Apple TV + verification works straight away.
I wish the chat member had listened and get one of those for me instead of asking me to put up with it.

Thanks for coming to the community.
Could you try signing into your Apple account and checking the number Apple have registered to see if this can be edited and updated to the Android number?

I can changed the alternative number for 2 factor authentication but it will not let me add my number to the username, just my email address. I am assuming because it is an android number.

I can sign into Apple TV+ on mu android phone but I cannot register the 6 months free offer for the last step is the verification by typing in my phone number and it fails every time with error "This phone number could not be verified for this subscription".I do not how it verifies the phone number.

Okay. Last time it took 2 hours. I will try to find time else just abort.
A quick question, do you know how to get my phone to display my port number rather than the temporary number? I had it done by the provider before, something to do with a reset at the provider's end.

When you call us the team will be able to refresh the network settings for you to display the correct number in your phone settings. This may also help with the Apple TV+ set up once this shows correct for you 🙂
