Apple TV+ verification code android

I recently purchased the Fullworks package which entitles me to Apple TV +. However each time I have tried to set it up, I get to the stage where Apple site wants a phone number to send a verification code. When I enter my mobile number, I receive a notification that "This phone number is not eligible for this promotion. Contact EE to confirm your eligibility"

I have contacted Support several times. Each time I am left with a promise that I will be contacted in a time frame between 10 mins and 24 hours by second-level technical support and then the IT department.

No resolution however.

You are not the only one. I'm in exactly the same boat, trying to activate my 6 month apple tv trial on my smart tv, but apple won't recognise my ee Samsung phone number. Really need to see how this is resolvable, there was no mention of requirements for this. 

PD33 thanks for your persistance so far, hopefully EE can deliver a solution to this disappointing situation.

Have you tried activating it on your EE phone first?

Yes, but it still requires phone verification.

I get phone number not recognised , contact EE message.

I did contact EE support. they said it was an issue for apple support. not ee support. apple support said it was an EE support issue. so both teams proved to be useless. I will not renew with EE when the contract is up because ee support blame apple support and vice versa. both wasted my time and money

I now have appletv. It may have been something with my handover between bttv to eetv. Rang 150 and they passed me over to bt technical team who sorted it at their end and checked it worked with me.
