Apple Music not working as a smart benefit

Hi. This is really starting to get on my nerves. I have been trying and trying to get my Apple Music smart benefit to work. Have spoke to both EE and Apple and am getting no help. All I keep getting is ‘this subscription is being used with another Apple ID’. I even tried to add it to my plan for £9.99 and it’s still saying the same. I have tried to make another Apple ID to use but it still doesn’t work. Could it be a problem with my mobile number? I really want to get this working as it’s included in my plan and I just feel like I’m paying for a service that I can’t even get to work. I don’t want to pay £10.99 a month when I can have it as a smart benefit. Well, that’s if it even works! Please help!

I'm having the same problem and being passed around between Apple and EE. Did you ever get the issue resolved?

Hi @Medge1

What have you tried so far? Have you tried activating using mobile data rather than WiFi?

Chris

I did but my phone gets no signal in my block, then I forgot all about it tbh. I will give it another go next time I'm out in an area with signal.
Cheers Chris.

Yes, it was a case of repeating what they told me to do multiple times with
turning the phone off and on… it was a proper faff and took a lot of time,
trying with WiFi on and off and eventually it worked

I'm having the same issue, everytime I click that I am an ee customer, it says I'm not and kicks me out. This is on of my inclusive perks I selected, but so far it's not working.

Hi @LookWoolly

Thanks for coming here.

When you selected Apple Music as one of your inclusive extras did you receive a text with a link?

Katie

I did but it directed me to a page then had charge at end of process.  It was activated but I could never get it to work. Had same problem with the cuber security..

I've give up on ee promos now. Pointless and stressful trying.

shocking customer from EE - called up three times to find out why the inclusive Apple Music is not working on my account. a very rude obnoxious lady said numerous times its working .. my iPhone clearly says no extras with ee plan on my Iphone.

even though its in my ee contract package as free of charge. rude lady then hung up the phone. its truly disgusting customer service from ee and breach of contract

Hi @Marcus1212

When you look at the EE app does it show the Apple Music is active as your inclusive allowance?

If your Apple Music subscription from EE isn't showing up in your Apple Music account, you may need to connect your subscription to your Apple Account.

Double-check your number: Ensure your phone number is correctly listed in Settings > Phone > My Number.

  • Use mobile data: Try following the link while using mobile data instead of Wi-Fi.
  • Disable VPN: Make sure you don't have a VPN enabled.
  • Close the app: Close the Music app completely (don't just minimize it) before following the link.
  • Restart your phone: Restart your phone and try following the link again.
  • Reinstall the app: If problems persist, try uninstalling and reinstalling the Music app.

If the above steps don't resolve the issue, contact Apple Support for assistance. They may be able to help you connect your EE subscription to your Apple Account, or troubleshoot any issues on their end.

Please also check your Apple ID: Go to Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions and look for your Apple Music subscription.

If it's not there, try signing out of the Apple Music app and signing back in using your Apple ID.
