Apple Music not working as a smart benefit

Hi. This is really starting to get on my nerves. I have been trying and trying to get my Apple Music smart benefit to work. Have spoke to both EE and Apple and am getting no help. All I keep getting is ‘this subscription is being used with another Apple ID’. I even tried to add it to my plan for £9.99 and it’s still saying the same. I have tried to make another Apple ID to use but it still doesn’t work. Could it be a problem with my mobile number? I really want to get this working as it’s included in my plan and I just feel like I’m paying for a service that I can’t even get to work. I don’t want to pay £10.99 a month when I can have it as a smart benefit. Well, that’s if it even works! Please help!

I repeated what your colleagues told me to do over two seperate phone
calls, each call lasting approximately an hour at which point I had to
cancel my call... then next time I turned my phone off and on again after
the second call, it had worked... very buggy
Sorry to hear you are having such issues. It's very buggy. Mine is
finally working, but I gave up on it twice.

I've activated my trial. It's says so in my account. Used email to sign from link sent in text message and just logged me into one month trial? I can probably watch what's good in a month but why am I not getting my 6 month? Had same issue with trying to get Norton benefit too. That never happened?  What am I getting wrong? 🤔

It should be as easy as following the link and registering there. I'm not sure why it's only showing 1month trial. Is that what it says under subscriptions in your iPhone settings?

Have you tried activating your subscription over mobile data, rather than WiFi?

Is your correct mobile number displayed in your phone settings?
