Allow Apple One to be upgraded

Apple One is currently only an individual subscription, I told when purchasing my plan that Apple One was included and that I can pay “6 per month to upgrade to the family plan. YOu will be able to do this once you have set up your plan on your phone then by going into subscriptions on your apple phone.”

This is from the sales team. 

I hope in the near future EE looks into this and allows customers to upgrade their Apple One extra to family / premier, it should make sense to pay the difference in the subscriptions. From what it seems even the sales team want this to happen 🙈

I was mid-sold today on this situation. I asked the EE guide on live chat if I could upgrade the Apple One subscription to family subscription and the response they gave was “This would be through apple. As the individual subscription is £18.95 which
comes free with this plan the family is £24.95 per month so it will be an extra
£6 per month to upgrade to the family plan. YOu will be able to do this once
you have set up your plan on your phone then by going into subscriptions on
your apple phone.”

I’m unsure as to why EE do not offer this as an option as this surely would be a great benefit to them and their customers. Sales team are clearly not properly trained in the services they offer and are lying to get you to subscribe. 

Please EE allow us to upgrade Apple One subscription 🙏

its interesting that EE sales people say this.

I think it just a matter of making strong push to EE to looking to this and they need to then persuade apple to offer this.

I dont know how to reach to EE specially as a group of, all of us who desperately want this.

Dear EE we will pay the difference for the upgrade ourselves. nobody is asking for free upgrade to higher tier of Apple one subscription. all you need to do is to ask apple to give us an option for subscribing to apple one upgrade to premier or family plan. so we will have individual apple one subscription through EE (given as part of phone plan in my case) and a further subscription from to apple for upgrade to family primer.

I'm so sorry to hear about the fact that you've been advised this when it isn't the case.

I will pass this onto the team, so they are aware that our customers are interested in upgrading from the basic package to the family plan.

Echoing the above - is there an update as to when this may be coming online as an option? It should work in the same way that Netwflix does where you can opt to upgrade for the difference in price.

Hi all. Potential switcher from Vodafone to EE here. Having an option of being able to pay for my own upgrade between basic and (in my case) Premier would be the difference in switching or not. The Basic tier would just not do enough for me and I’d end up paying twice. 

I know the previous poster has said wait for an announcement but does anyone even know if it’s being worked towards? TBH, if Netflix offer this it sounds like it’s in Apple’s court rather than EE’s.

Great to hear you are interested in joining but we don't have anything new to share on this one, it is still only the individual Apple One subscription you get with the Full works plan and there is no option to upgrade it. 

Depends on what sort of plan you are looking for of course but you can also opt into TNT Sports on the iPhone Full works plan instead of Apple One, there is also the non iPhone Full works plan which has some different inclusive extras to choose from, as well as the more basic cheaper plans.
