Hi, does anyone have any suggestions please- for the last 4 weeks or so I've been unable to send texts from my iphone in UK to my Mum's mobile phone number in Ireland- she has a basic mobile (not a smartphone). Up until recently this wasn't a problem and I could send texts to her successfully but now they don't go through at all! I'd be very grateful for any ideas!

Hi, yes my phone used to send text messages to my Mum’s Irish number exactly the same as any other number. My phone is not saying “message sent” or “message failed” or anything similar but my Mum is definitely not receiving the texts. I can call my Mum’s Irish number no problem.

That begins to make it look like a recipient issue. Definitely needs reporting, there's potentially a good argument for this being instigated from either end - but "sending" side is usually better.
Try to get timed examples of when you try texting your Mum, and it fails to send - and then examples of calls connecting. If they can be within minutes of each other, all the better.
Then report those to EE-CS. I suspect you'll want a single-user fault being raised, and traces potentially being checked... so don't terminate the call without a plan for action, or resolution,
