You should be able to send your text message entirely as normal.

iOS may have an on-screen notification - generated by the destination number being a 5digit shortcode rather than 11digit number - that "additional charges may apply"

I never seen EE publish charge rates for texting Premium Rate Nos. , only for calling as in Service charge costs for calls beginning 08 & 09 . Perhaps they just go as ordinary fixed price texts.

The billing system is quite capable of differentiating between texts to 11digit mobile numbers & 5digit shortcodes, but how they're presented on a bill I have no idea. I've never used them, but there's been enough queries on these boards over the years!

I have tried it just says not delivered thanks

Premium Rate Nos. aren't necessarily 5 digit shortcodes but usually 11 digits starting with 09.

For voice calls, you're right. For texts, I have never known an 09x number accept incoming texts - this is the whole basis for 5digit shortcodes.

That's not to say that texts to shortcodes are all premium, but premium-texts do use shortcodes.

Does your phone report the message as sent? There's a difference between "not delivered" and "not sent".

I would normally expect errors sending to be caused by an invalid number. Out of interest, what's the number and who's it for?

Are you sending to a 5-digit shortcode or an 11-digit 09 no.?
