call to this number is barred from your phone (iphone calling to Hong Kong)

I have been calling HK without issue 3 weeks ago, and when I tried to do the same last week, got above message; tried removing spend cap, adding it back, subscribe to 500min intl call plan, all without success; i checked on web iphone does not have any settings to bar international calls. tried text "ROAM INT" to 150, also no luck. Any one got further suggestions? Thanks.

Welcome to the EE Community 🙂

Usually that recorded message would indicate something account side is barring your calls. The only settings we would recommend checking on the phone is to disable Dial Assist if you have not already and see if the result is different.

That is Settings> Phone> Dial Assist. And also to make sure Caller ID is enabled in Settings> Phone> Show my caller ID. 

But it will usually be something account side as I say, so in this case I would recommend reaching out to our team on 150 from your EE mobile who will be able to run the necessary checks.

Is this all to one specific number, and if so - do other HK numbers connect OK?

i have tried two HK numbers, both got the same result

Hi Alex,

thanks for the advise. Checked Dial Assist, and already has Caller ID enabled.

Checking my bill, it might be because last month I have spent up to previous spend cap, and even though I paid my bill before the auto-debit, and remove the spend cap, it didn't help.

I'll try to get through 150 for help.
