Using phone abroad

Currently in Lanzarote. Tried to inform EE I was going abroad but couldn’t see how. Now unable to link with any network. Really disappointed with lack of support from EE.

Unable to get phone signal

I am new user to EE. Got a message that my sim is activated and asked to restart phone. But later can’t see the mobile signal? Can some one help what is the issue ? Even I can’t call to 150 as there is no signal in my phone.
