Why can't I make calls from Spain, saying the are "restricted"?

I had  a missed call and someone left a Voice message.

I am trying to access this 22 seconds message and I am getting a message saying  "calls to this number are restricted... phone freephone 470". When I can 470 I get the same message. I have tried other UK numbers and get the same message. 

Nobody seems available from EE as messaging for help has been disabled. 

How do I keep in communication with the UK if my phone doesn't work and I can't speak to anybody in EE?

I am in Spain as well and my phone has just stopped allowing me. Making as well as receiving calls and I get the 470 message but it is in Spain

Thanks for coming here. 

Can you try selecting another network in the phone settings as below; 

• iPhone > Settings > Mobile Data > Network Selection > Turn off Automatic
• Android > Settings > More Networks > Mobile Networks > Network Operators > Tap OK
• Windows > Settings > Mobile Network > Network Selection > Tap on start manual search

It should be there on the Mobile Data Settings page, @Kirke1. The second section down.

No it didn’t work for me gave me options to select;

orange, vodaphone es,Yoigo , movie star 

I have selected Moviestar (as I’m sure this is the one that EE has automatically selected in the past)and phone is now working fine at the moment  🙂 is this the one I should have selected ?
