I'm a Pay as You Go customer. Have been for years. I am only receiving 4G but there is 5G in Ilkley where I live. I'm paying £30 per month but no 5G..Why anyone.
It's a pity that EE customer service is none existent results in massive frustration.

@Kwarior PAYG customers don’t have access to 5G. Customer support is available by calling 150 from your device, You need credit on your account to pay the flat rate to speak with customer support.

Out of interest, is there anything you want to do with your phone that needs 5G, and for which 4G is insufficient?
Or from another angle, is there a particular reason you are using PAYG and not pay-monthly?

I already pay £30 per month and my card is automatically debited. I would never use a pay monthly because EE insist on a credit check. This process discloses your private address and other information to absolutely anyone who will pay a credit reference agency. I would rather pay one year in advance and keep my anonymity.

Credit Reference Agencies do not reveal other peeps personal details. That would be against privacy laws & GDPR.

I know exactly how to access such data and how it's done, and if the data exists, it can be accessed by those who's business it is to gather personal data, and I've done it myself. Credit reference agencies one the easiest sources are one of the easiest sources to acquire data that is supposedly private. GDPR is about as effective as a sign that says No Parking.

Better not have a bank account then or a credit card better not pay any bills live by yourself better not do anything if that's the case.. Unfortunately everything you do is going to be stuffed onto your credit report doesn't matter if EE to a credit check on you because other people are going to do credit checks on you anyway and even if they don't do credit checks on you these are going to post your credit file. It just isn't a big deal the information on your credit report is in particularly revealing anyway.

@elixier22 You forgot better not have a a mortgage. lol. Must be nice to deal in only cash and be paid in cash and basically have no digital footprint to be associated with you.
And yet there’s mention of a direct debit so basically a bank account and does one assume is also registered to vote. I never read such rubbish in my life with that comment above yours.
