Voicemail notification but no message

I have a voicemail notification but no message. I have tried all suggestions but this notification will not go away. I have a new phone from EE, yet the notification still appears. Nothing is working. Please help!!

@ALUM : Get someone to leave you a VM, listen to it & then delete it. See if that clears it.
To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

If you give the steps that @XRaySpeX mentioned a try first of all, but if that doesn't clear the notification, give our tech guides a call and they can refresh the notification for you.
