Voicemail diverting to 101

Trying to help out an elderly neighbour.  If I call them and they dont pickup in time, voicemail redirects to 101 (Police non emergency number) He is using iPhone 13. Dialled voicemail directly from phone and it works fine but obviously no messages stored. Put his Sim card into his wifes iPhone (Voicemail works correctly)  and voicemail goes to 101, so obviously that rules out a phone setting issue. The Sim card/Network is to blame. Please advise

Thanks for trying @Deadpidge

Have you tried turning voicemail off and back on again to see if this diverts to the voicemail?

If not and our tech guides did not do this when your neighbour called, try texting VM OFF to 150 from the device and then VM ON to 150. Full details can be found in the Check and Use Mobile Voicemail page.

If calls are still diverted to 150, please ask the account holder to get back in touch with our tech guides to complete further troubleshooting to get this sorted.

Leanne.

Try dialling *#62#

you should get something like this:

I have just tried it on my IPhone and it works, so should work for you @Deadpidge .

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using web based app or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.

Can now confirm that the problem has now been resolved but in my opinion not satisfactorily, but at least to the owners satisfaction.   Solution that was settled on Dial ##002# Press Call.

@Deadpidge  That code will cancel all diverts, so if you now do *#62# it will probably show no diverts set?.

Why are you not satisfied?

Because ideally voicemail should still be available but with a 30 second wait til diverting, but 'he'  was unable to achieve that so the next best solution was to cancel it.

Well now we know what the problem was, the solution is to dial:

*61*+447953222222*11*30#

This sets a divert to voicemail when unanswered after 30seconds.

Then dial *#62# and you should see the voicemail number like in my screenshot earlier.

The 30 seconds issue was only a side issue, the inability to remove 101 from voicemail was the major problem. Do EE publish a list of #* codes and if so where?
