I am on pay monthly and contract started before July 2021. What do I need to do to use my phone in Spain, and are any cost included in my normal allowance?

Ensure the roaming facility is enabled on your phone by texting ROAMING to 150 before leaving the UK
Costs are set out at https://ee.co.uk/help/help-new/roaming-costs which includes the option to select a pre-2021 account.
