Unable to roam in Nigeria

Hello all 

i forgot to turn off roaming before leaving but I called custmer service from abroad to get this turned on. I have been assured this is now ON but i am still getting Emmergancy calls only on my phone. I have switched off / ON and it hasnt helped. I am on pay monthly contract .And i have £50 Usage Cap .

Welcome to the community.

It can take up to 24 hours to activate, and maybe a little longer when you're already abroad. Keep trying to restart your phone and maybe manually try to connect to other available networks.

My number worked well for about 2 weeks since I returned to Nigeria and is presently inactive; it is no longer receiving text messages.  When I try to make calls with it, I get a recorded response:  'This number is barred from making calls; please contact your nearest 9Mobile Xperience Centre'.  That was last week.  Right now, there is a notification that says: 'not registered on the network'

Are you able to try and manually connect to another Nigerian network? Do you have a contract SIM or pay as you go?

Halo, 

I have a contract SIM, it is connected to a network which am unable to identify but the roaming is not working. When I try to use the line I get the notification: 'not registered on the network'
