When NHS tried to call me from an 0800 number today, the first time went straight to voicemail and they were able to leave a message. Subsequent attempts to call did not show on my phone at all but had apparently also gone to voicemail.
Do Not Disturb was not active and calls from other numbers were received so I did have coverage.
I have an extensive list of blocked numbers but have no knowledge of any blanket block on 0800 .
I badly need to be able to receive NHS call so what should I do ?

Hi @Eli67
Thanks for coming here.
Do you know if you have received any other 0800 number calls on your phone recently?
Did you receive the voicemail?
Also, were you on another call when the NHS tried calling?
Leanne.

Hi Leanne,
I received the first voicemail - she did try to phone several times again but didn’t leave more messages and there was no missed call on my phone.
I wasn’t on a call at the time but did have eyes on my phone since I was anxious to receive the call. I'm not aware of having received any 0800 calls recently. When I look at my blocked list there are a few but I only block calls which are reported as negative on Who Called Me so they’re not NHS. Do you think I should try unblocking them all??
Thanks for helping.

Thanks @Eli67
If you can try unblocking any numbers just to see if this works for you.
Also, what phone do you have?
Leanne.

Thanks, I’ll try unblocking all the 0800 numbers on my list.
It's an iPhone 7

Thanks @Eli67
Can you also restart your phone after doing this and let me know how you get on.
Leanne 🙂

Will do that - tricky to know if it's worked, I guess - I’ve left for the hospital to call me when I can be on my land line next week.
Wish there was a way of doing an 0800 test call…
I appreciate your help.
