We are going to Turkey in October. We have a large data quota but believe we can't use this, what are our option? Not to fussed about myself or my husband but don't want to get wacked with huge bills for my teen usage.

As it is not in EU, you cannot use your usual UK allowances there but will need to pay the charges or buy roaming add-ons as set out in https://ee.co.uk/help/help-new/roaming-costs/countries/turkeyandnortherncyprus .

If you are on contract, remember to text ROAMING to 150 before you leave UK to ensure roaming is enabled on your account.

@lawrencelynn , just to add to what @XRaySpeX has written, unless you have a data add on for Turkey, you will not be able to use or be charged for data, which in some countries can be expensive.

You also need to make sure that call abroad and premium calls are enabled for roaming to work. If you cannot enable roaming yourself, you will need to speak to customer service to get this sorted. Have a great time!

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using Skype or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.
