I am trying to call OBB in Austria, using +4351717. I have roaming and international dialling included. I get the message it is not been possible to connect your call.
When I do this from my BT phone it works without a problem, when I try it with my EE phone I get the message above.
Any clues? Thanks, Ron

Is this on an EE landline or mobile?

Mobile call routing substitutes + for the local international access code in analysis anyway, which is why + is recommended as an international standard.
At least we now know that roaming is a red herring, and this is purely an international calling issue. Have you been able to call this number prior to the current issues?

@bristolian : That's no reason not to experiment. Something's wrong somewhere in the call (un)routing!

I have never used my EE mobile to call this number, I have used my BT mobile to use to call that number and that works fine!
i'd like to use my EE mobile since my package includes dialling abroad.

Hi @RonDamUK
Thanks for coming back to us.
Do you have a calling abroad add-on? If you have roaming included, this is for making calls when abroad not from the UK.
Do you have a spend cap on your account?
Leanne.

See previous messsge I have dialling abroad included and have a spend cap, but haven't used anything towards that cap

Thanks very much @RonDamUK
Sorry I just wanted to check this was calling abroad from the UK and not when roaming, appreciate the quick response 🙂
In this case, the account will need to be checked to see what could be stopping the call connecting as you have confirmed everything should be working. To do this, please get in touch with our tech guides and they will be happy to help.
Let me know how you get on.
Leanne.

Hi Leanne
Thsnk you do much for your help, been through the loop with 150 a few times now, but each time I get kicked back to messaging and getting calls back that disappear before I can press the button. Or lost in the IVR maze 🙂
Are you aware of easier ways to talk to a person?
regards
ronald

Hi @RonDamUK
No problem at all 🙂
If you select the options for mobile and then tech support, you should get either a call back option or an option to hold for a guide and they will run through everything with you.
Leanne.
