Are you able to try the SIM card in another device to see if texts send? 

Can you make calls?

That’s typical, EE will do anything to stop anyone contacting  them..  Just wait til you see what they’re doing with texts!  When you send a text it’ll be altered to a picture message that you’ll be charged for each month at 83p each time.   Just don’t use texting and if someone texts you, either ignore or tell those that do to email or whatever instead.

I won’t use texts at all with EE I’m not paying 83p each time to have any texts I could send altered into picture messages.  What a flaming cheek.

I am mad about this. I NEVER received anything about converted text messages either within the first month or supposedly when it stopped. My current bill has 83p for a text message that I have not sent. I do not trust EE anyway and will not now send any texts due to the underhand methods they use.

Is the text to a number that is one of your contacts?

Does the charge show as a picture message on your bill?
