Text Message Issue

Hi,

If I sent a text message to someone and an error message came back due to my goodybag running out and I tried sending that message again before renewing my goodybag would that person receive the text twice once I renewed my goodybag?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Rob

Hi @Robert_George.

Welcome to the community.

Sorry, I'm not quite sure what you mean.

Are you on contract or pay as you go?

What are you renewing?

Jon

Hi Jon,

Apologies.

For example if I tried to send a text message to someone however there was a send error/bounced back but I tried sending it again and having it bounce back again before realising my goodybag has run out would that person get 1 or 2 messages from me?

I'm on pay as you go.

Regards,

Rob

What is a goodybag?

Hi @Robert_George.

If the message was unable to go through the first time then they should only get it once.

Jon

There won't be a bounce back if it doesn't send due to being out of text allowance. It will just not send & the recipient will never see it. Once you've renewed your pack it will send & the recipient will see it for the 1st time.

Hi @Jon_K.

Thanks for your advise.

Please could you also advise on if I were to ring someone and straightaway the call ended and there was no dial tone and didn't go to voicemail would that mean the call wouldn't show up on their call log.

Please advise if you can.

Regards,

Rob

If there's no dial tone there can be no call.

Hi @Robert_George.

They may get a missed call alert depending on how they've got their phone set up.

Missed call alerts would be a notification rather than a call on the call log.
