Subscription pack and roaming

I’ve got a recurring PAYG subscription pack and credit on my account. EE says I need to pay a roaming charge to use my phone in the EU. When I text ROAMEU7 as instructed on the EE text message, it tells me I’m not eligible for the add-on. Any ideas? This is massively frustrating as I’m not in the UK at the moment.

I had same problem,  I had to ring 0800 9566000 and pay over phone which was straight forward but I had to wait 37 minutes before they answered. I paid £10 for a week but I found out later I could have paid £15 for the month which would have been cheaper in my case. I  am now going to have to ring them again when the week is up. Very poor service 😢

The £15.00 monthly pass is for the Roam Abroad Pass for pay monthly accounts.
