Sending to many texts

So I received this text from another provider and didn't think they could do this if im paying for unlimited texts 

 

We've noticed an unusually high amount of SMS sent within a short time. In alignment with our Acceptable Use Policy, we've placed a temporary block on sending texts for the next hour. For more information, please see our Policy

@gavin29 : If you are on EE you can only receive such a warning from EE.

So, is it a scam?

Does it have a link in it that it tells you to click? Don't go there but what was the link?

So how many texts are you sending in a month? Unlimited never means unlimited with mobile networks.

EE will believe you are doing something wrong if you text/call over 300 different numbers in a month
