SMS sending on a different number

Hi, 

I ported my number from another network to EE a month ago.

It all went well.

However when I send a text message it shows on the receiving persons phone that it came from another number I don't recognise (maybe the original number on the SIM card before I ported?). However when I call them on the same phone they get my expected number come up.

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks for getting back to me @ncp123  glad to hear your texts are on the correct number now.

RCS chats is a setting which allows you to message other RCS users through the internet instead of SMS text messages, so its not something you do need activated unless you want to use it, so you are fine to keep it off and use SMS text. 

But if you do want to use it I would recommend turning it off, restarting the phone and then turning it back on to see if that helps update it to the new number.
