Roaming queries and tethering abroad

I've just joined EE (PAYM) and I'm looking at the roaming setup. I've got an Iphone.

To enable roaming I can send ROAMING to 150. Will this have the same effect as turning on Settings->Mobile Data->Data Roaming through the Iphone menu?

Once roaming is enabled, I assume that I won't be charged £2/day unless I go to France, for example?

An alternative to paying £2/day will be to use the Roam Abroad pass for £10/every 30 days. Texts ROAMING PASS or STOP ROAMING PASS to 150. If I don't remember to turn on the Roam Abroad pass before I leave the UK, can I still activate it in France? Using text to 150? Through my EE online account (cannot see this option - perhaps the MyEE app is different)? By calling CS?

Is there a reminder that tells you Roam Abroad is still active when the 30 days approaches?

Please can someone confirm that tethering should work abroad, e.g. France and USA?

I've set a PIN for my VM.

Thanks

c) Originally there was the Roam Further Pass @ £10 pm for roaming in the 5 additional non-EU countries. On 07/07/21 with the introduction of charges for roaming in the EU the Roam Further Pass was renamed the Roam Abroad Pass and extended to the EU but their benefits are identical. At or about the same time its price was increased to £11.40 pm.

Docs describing the Roam Further Pass were updated to the price of £11.40 pm but strangely those relating to the Roam Abroad Pass weren't.

Thanks @bristolian

As you say, the web page talks about Roam Further, and it does mention pro-rating when added. It is £11.40 per month

Thanks @XRaySpeX

As you say, Roam Further was replaced by Roam Abroad on 7 July 2021. It includes EU countries plus 5 non EU destinatons for £10 per month. Roam Further is not available to new customers.

The T&C page spells out the difference in charges https://ee.co.uk/help/help-new/terms-and-conditions/additional-services/roam-further-pass  but doesn't mention pro rating for either product.

To me, the T&C page should be correct. To me, pro-rating would mean that if I used Roam Abroad for 3 days then I would be charged £10 / 30 days * 3 days = £0.99. Why would anyone use the £2/day option, if pro-rating was available on the £10 Roam Abroad option at £0.33 per day? I think EE has two offers. £2/day for trips of 4 days and below, and £10 Roam Abroad for trips of 5 days and over.

This is a shot of my add ons. I'll attempt to contact EE to confirm the pro-rating - but I think the Roam Abroad isn't proratable

Thanks again.
