Hi I got added a data roaming pass on Saturday for me travelling to Australia I got a text saying it had been activated and I would pay £15 a month for this. I have now got to Australia and my phone won’t work atall except on WiFi I have no signal to call anyone for help and don’t understand why

Hello @Sophiem134

Welcome to the community.

Did you activate roaming before leaving the UK by texting ROAMING to 150 or by giving us a call?

Speak soon,

Katie

Thanks for getting back to me and providing me with the text you received @Sophiem134

Purchasing a pack for roaming does not automatically enable the roaming setting on your account.

Could you please try manually searching for a network and let me know how this goes?

Katie

The roaming is turned on on my phone

Hi @Sophiem134

Apologies, I mean the roaming setting on your EE account.

Have you been able to try manually searching for another network?

Katie

@Sophiem134 : "ROAMING PASS" is not the same as "ROAMING"! They have different functions. The former is just a billing add-on to cover your charges when you are allowed to roam abroad whereas the latter enables roaming on your a/c. You can't make use of the former w/out having the latter.

What does that mean another network

Instead of auto connecting to a default network manually search for other network operators.
