Hi I got added a data roaming pass on Saturday for me travelling to Australia I got a text saying it had been activated and I would pay £15 a month for this. I have now got to Australia and my phone won’t work atall except on WiFi I have no signal to call anyone for help and don’t understand why

That's probably cuz you never text ROAMING to 150 before you left. Now you'll need to call CS to enable it.

No it’s only me and my little boy visiting family my sister could speak to someone on my behalf from the uk

Only if you've previously authorised her to speak about your a/c on your behalf.
Try calling CS on the Freephone no. in my sig. on Skype over WiFi. It should be free.
