I am currently in Spain, and I did text RO Spain, to 150 before I left, unfortunately, my phone does not seem to be sending messaging, it's a pixel 6. Now ignoring that issue for the minute, I cannot use my phone, as it won't authenticate against any carrier because roaming is not working.
I have looked only and tried to sort this from MyEE app, did not work, and I've also looked on the EE website. Again, to no avail.
How do I resolve this? As I have europe roaming on my subscription. So I would of assumed it would just work

Did you text ROAMING to 150? this is the code to activate roaming on your account.
If you have not activated roaming then our customer care team can help activate this for you.
Please either use our online chat service or contact our social teams via Facebook/Twitter.

Can I assume you did not read my previous message? As it says, although I tried, messaging is not working from my phone, to clarify, just to make clearer, messaging from my phone to anyone is not working. I can receive but not sent.
Again, I am not interested in fixing this right now, I'm interested in fixing the data and mobile service, as I am limited by WiFi to my phone.i don't use text messages that much, as I use WhatsApp for everything.

Also, I do not get a web chat option on there, I only call call, deaf call, and speak to AI. Which the AI in this instance is not helpful as it tells me to call 150 or text 150.

Hi @mike989e.
Sorry, I should have mentioned before leaving the UK did you text ROAMING to 150.
For you to be able to use data, roaming will need to be activated on your account.
When you log in to your My EE and navigate around your account do you see an online chat pop up?
Do you have access to social media such as Facebook/Twitter?

No sorry I don't use social media, and the online chat is just giving me the option to contact AI Agent.
I feel like this conversation is going in circles, as you keep mentioning about texting 150 before leaving the UK... I answered this in my initial post.

I simply wanted to know, if there was a way for EE to activate it after I had left the country. As I could not have text it even if I was in the UK, as my pixel stopped being able to send text messages months ago, which I could also not get any help for.

You commented on texting "RO SPAIN" to 150 - this is just the command to get roaming costs for Spain.
What you're being asked about is whether you texted "ROAMING" to 150 - this is the command to ensure roaming is activated. It is this which enables a phone to connect to foreign networks, and without which will cause the symptoms you have,
It therefore matters what specifically you texted to 150. Regardless, if you have not activated roaming and are not outside the UK, your only recourse is to contact CS via another means - either from another working phone or a web-calling app. There is no account access on this forum.

Well done, you have taken a small part of my initial post ignoring this part...
"unfortunately, my phone does not seem to be sending messaging, it's a pixel 6. Now ignoring that issue for the minute" meaning my phone does not send text messages... It is not possible to text 150 at all, this has been happening for months I have contacted EE before, made no no differencel.

Typo "made no difference"
Also the question on texting makes no difference to my question... I just wanted a answer to could I get it enabled while I was abroad. Doesn't matter now as I just purchased a temp phone.

- Does unlimited full works sim include singapore /uae and australia on roaming in Roaming
- Abroad in the US, can't call or text 150 in Roaming
- Stuck in Australia with voice not working in Mobile Services
- Roaming charges - Isle of Wight in Roaming
- [Roaming] Data works but not calls, "Server not available" message in Roaming
