I think I've dropped a clanger and forgot to send "roam" to 150 before travelling, can this be activated at all now I'm already here ?
There used to be a way to online chat, but they seem to have done away with it, or at least made it impossible to find since they got rid of the actual app and put you on a poorly equipped website instead 😞
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

I spoke too soon perhaps... my contract has been going for so long it's part of my package that I don't need to pay for roaming upgrades, but when I restart my phone it will say emergency calls only for about 10 seconds and say I've got a new voicemail, then drop out to "no network" again 😞

That doesn't seem to be an option on my phone (Huawei P30 Pro), it's all automatic network selection...
FWIW Twitter still haven't responded 24 hours later, if you have any way to pass that onwards and upwards

Click on auto-selection, and the option to manually search & select should become available.

There's nothing that says EE, do you know who they work in conjunction with ?

EE is a UK network operator and only provides coverage in the UK. EE's roaming facilities enable your phone to access foreign networks - try each available network in turn.
I don't see anywhere in this thread, confirmation that roaming is active on your phone - but manual network selection will be a good test and confirm either way.

Orange 4G seems to have worked, but I get a data roaming warning about additional fees, so I'll just have to see 🙂
Thanks so much, I've got trips organised and they need to contact me to arrange pickup times etc :-}
